Fishing
The Marina is a fantastic place for fishing.
The fishing is excellent all year round. You can fish in the front of the garden throughout the year as not moving water.
The moving river around the marina you can NOT fish within close season.
Species: Tench, bream, perch, roach, dace, zander, pike the very occasional eel. Plenty of little tiddlers so usually predatory fish in the water. Our guests normally use maggots or just bread, or frozen fish all sort of bate.
You need a rod license to fish at the Lodge but do not need any other local permits.
There is a shed outside where you can safely store your rods and fishing tackle.

For rods, tackle, bait etc you can be sure that Benwick Sports Angling Center will have what you need. A mere 15 mins drive from the lodge on the Soham bypass.
